These instructions are for how to download my free SVG files library for an iPad or iPhone using the Safari browser OR the Safari browser on a Mac. If you are looking for instructions on how to download the SVG files for free to a laptop using a Chrome browser you can find them here.
Go to the homepage of my website and you will see a menu bar at the top (on a phone it looks like 3 lines!) You will click on the drop down menu that says Free SVG Files and under you will see over 15 pages of categories for the instant downloads. Click on the page you would like to view. These require no password - continue down this blog post for the Community SVG File instructions.
Once you're on the page you want and find your perfect SVG file you will see a rectangular download button underneath.
This will take you to a new page where you will see DOWNLOAD NOW.
You want to long hold on this button (right click if you're on Safari desktop). Don't just click and release, hold your finger down on the button until a side menu pops up.
You will want to hit the option download linked file and this is going to save to your device. You can look at your downloads after it is complete by clicking on the arrow within a circle at the top of your browser page. Note: some SVGs are large, like for my 3D projects. These larger SVGs may only show a partial version of the full SVG - you need to upload the free SVG file into Cricut Design Space to see the FULL image and the layers.
There is a different step for these. Once you have entered in the password, you will be taken to the list of community SVG files. You can grab the password for those here:
Instead of seeing download now, you will only see DOWNLOAD below each image.
You will long hold this button, do not press and release (right click if you're on Safari desktop). A "side menu" will appear and you will click download linked file (same as above). Note: some SVGs are large, like for my 3D projects. These larger SVGs may only show a partial version of the full SVG - you need to upload the free SVG file into Cricut Design Space to see the FULL image and the layers.
Open a new blank canvas in Cricut Design Space and hit the upload button in the bottom left side. Then click browse files - this will bring you to your saves files on your device. You may have to do a little search or you can go back to your browser and see what it saved as and search for it!
Cricut Design Space requires a name for the file, so you will name it and hit save. This is a simple step and now you are ready to go.
Once you hit save, the file will be added to your canvas and if it is layered, it will be sorted by color!
Now, all iPad and iPhone users can access over 650 free files on my website and use them in a multitude of crafts! Don't forget to sign up for my newsletter below to get access to my community SVG files, Cricut updates, tips and tricks!
